What makes a print a statement piece
Not size, not color — tension. A statement print pairs image and text so the two argue with each other, or ask something the viewer has to sit with. Graphic, editorial, closer to a gig poster or film still than a landscape print. It's meant to be noticed, not blended in.
Where statement art actually works
One bold piece above a sofa, a desk, a hallway with nothing else competing for attention. Statement art rarely works in a cluster — it needs room to be the only thing in the frame.
